Power loss Liphook and local area

Does anyone know what happened to the power last night.
I lost our meal which was in our electric over :-(

Can't give you an Answer Dom but do know from a colleague that it appeared to be out in Headley Down as well as Liphook. My advice - get a good supply of candles or invest in a generator, could be worth it in the long run !! Regards, Chris

Apparently there was an explosion at the top of a telegraph pole which then caught fire. Which conjures up a wonderful image if you put it together with Finchie's thread!
Just a small word of praise for SEE. My elderly aunt phoned them to see when the power would be back on and SEE's customer services checked that she had some alternative form of lighting, had heating and a contact number. They also phoned back an hour later to check she was OK .
(I know its easy to be cynical but that is very reassuring for an elderly person living alone.)

Yes what a shame the power was lost as the bohunt fashion show was cancelled again, i feel so sorry for all the kids. Iast week it was also cancelled due to floods, third time lucky i hope x
