Missing cat - tabby
- Elliott (28th Jun 2015 - 20:36:54)
Hi
Our cat didn't return home last night and is still not back today, so we would be grateful if people could keep a look out for him.
He is a tabby, short hair domestic, with a grey/black lined pattern on his back. He had a red collar on, but is always losing them but it did have his name and contact details on. He is also micro chipped.
We are on the Maple Park development and he has never ventured far from home, so if you do find him, please do call me on 07536 044 949.
Thanks
Elliott

hi im almost 100% sure I saw this cat yesterday (cant remember what time?sorry) as it made me laugh...it was in the long grass on the green, pounced at a pigeon didn't catch it but got a couple of feathers and as it landed it fell on his side and done a playful roll...'like he was meant to of done that' picked up a feather and went back in the grass lol
im sure he will be back soon... :)
has he had his bits done...?
maybe check the vets tomorrow if hes chipped...?
but sadly I have to say lots of cats have gone missing around this area before
but fingers crossed you will find him soon x

Hi Kayleigh
Thank you for your post. That could be our cat. He's just as happy playing with feathers as he is playing with the bird they used to belong to.
I found some feathers near to the wild flower bed next to the roundabout next to the green; is that where you saw him?
He has had his bits done and is microchipped. I've been to the vets this morning and have already contacted the pet chip company.
Fingers crossed he's just hiding but with all the noise from the building site today, which used to scare him when he was inside, I doubt he'll be back before they go :-(
Thanks again
Elliott

Excellent, thank you.
Just been to look round there but no sign.
He's not great with dogs but if you happen to see him tonight on your walk, please do call.
Thanks

hi Elliott,
just wondering has your cat turned up yet...?
also to let you know that some of your posters have come down around the green, but I have seen quite a lot of people looking and reading them...

I've been looking out for your cat every time I take my dog walking (which is a few times a day!). Unfortunately no sightings yet but I'm still keeping my eyes peeled and fingers crossed for you.

My wife saw a similar looking cat walk past our kitchen window (opposite yours) and onto the building site yesterday but wasn't quick enough to pop out and get a better look or pick him up. Fingers crossed he's still around!
Meanwhile I saw a very friendly cat with a blue collar between the Millennium Centre and Sainsburys on Friday evening which got my hopes up until I double-checked this thread. Probably the same cat I told you about the other week!

Morning
Kayleigh/Sarah - No sign of our cat yet but we thank you for keeping an eye out for him. There have been a couple of sightings of him on the Millennium Green, a couple in the Canada Way/Quebec Close area and yesterday's sighting from Jonathan very close to home.
We're surprised the posters have lasted this long but we are glad people are looking at them.
Jonathan - thank you for letting us know. We saw the same tabby on the Green, by the wild flower beds but it was the same one you spotted last week.
We live in hope that he is still close and having too god a time to come home - for now.
Thanks again to you all for the updates.
Regards
Elliott/Louise

Hi Kayleigh
There was no cat there by the time Louise got out to the Green.
Thank you for the call and for keeping an eye out.
