trainee mechanic - sean (30th Nov 2009 - 17:45:04) i am a trainee at Basingstoke college looking for work in the trade.Can anyone help me in this respect,as i have had no luck so far.

Take Alan Sugar's advice, 'doesn't matter if you knock on a 1000 doors to have them shut in your face, it could be the 1001 that give you the opportunity of a lifetime. Good luck with the course and the job hunting.

Re: trainee mechanic - Jan J (18th Jan 2010 - 09:07:59) Hi Sean, Just a thought, have you tried asking at the local garages, the one in Beacon Hill Haslemere, Farnham, i know that they are away out from Liphook, but my son did this when he was an apprentice. Give it a try, and good luck to you, now and in the future.

A well-known company has vacancies for trainee aircraft mechanics based at RAF stations in East Anglia. These are being advertised internally at the moment but if there are no takers they will look outside the company. As you have already done a college course you should have an advantage.
