Passfield Broadband Speed - Janet (20th Jun 2015 - 11:14:19) A Which? broadband speed-check says we have a download speed of 3.2 mb/s and an upload speed of 0.1 mb/s. Is anyone in Passfield getting better speeds than this or is this as good as it gets?

I have a friend who lives down Lynchborough road and his speed is terrible as well. I live a similar distance from the Liphook exchange and my speed was 11mb down and 800kb up. Points to possible bad wiring? Lynchborough Road should be getting around 6.5mbps, so I suspect your friend also has bad wiring, missing or faulty microfilter

Re: Passfield Broadband Speed - Janet (25th Jun 2015 - 18:54:22) I'm guessing that we are between 100 and 150m from the exchange. Bad wiring? Do you mean the electrical wiring to the router? The router is quite old (about 7 years). Would that make a difference?

I would raise a complaint and they will check your line for you. Being that close to the exchange you should be getting much better speed.
