Muntjac deer

Just been up to the industrial estate at Hollycombe and a muntjac crossed the road in front of the car. First time I have seen one round here. Are they common - or was I just lucky ?

I see them regularly up Chapel Common, very sweet looking deer. I also saw a Roe deer up there this morning .

Hi BT, my house backs on to what will be known as the Lowsley Farm estate.
I have seen but mostly heard Muntjac deer in the field beyond my garden. They are very vociferous deer. I don't know where they will go once the building starts.
