Hi David
Might be worth joining the local U3A group, they have a computer club - I'm sure you could learn a lot there.
U3A Liphook - computer club
| | Liphook U3A is one of many U3As across the UK, each affiliated to the Third Age Trust. In brief, the U3A exists for the benefit of retired people who wish to learn and keep active. Members share their knowledge and experience, and participate in a wide range of educational, social and leisure activities.
Liphook U3A was founded in 2001 and has quickly grown into a thriving organisation with some 600 members. Members can join a number of special interest or study groups, join in occasional visits and travel, and attend the monthly General Meetings at the Liphook Millennium Centre. The General Meetings have a guest speaker, with a short period for questions, followed by refreshments and an opportunity to socialise; the meetings enjoy attendance levels usually well in excess of 100, up to about 200 members and visitors.
The Liphook U3A annual membership fee is £12 (renewable from 1st April). New members joining after 30th September pay £9 for the period to 31st March.
We have an admission charge for each monthly General Meeting of £2 for members, or £3 for visitors/non-members.
Our special interest / study groups have a small attendance fee, normally from 50p to £1 per meeting, as a contribution to expenses. Also for groups that meet in public venues there will usually be an annual membership fee to cover the room hire costs. Every effort is made to keep all charges as low as possible.
Liphook U3A is a Registered Charity, No. 1093854 | |
