Sincere Thanks
- Ian Turner (12th May 2015 - 10:04:24)

I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the very kind woman who stopped and phoned an ambulance and Darren the off duty paramedic who stopped to help us yesterday when my girlfriend passed out with an allergic reaction on the Headley Road. I didnt manage to get your full names or contact details so if on the off chance you are reading this please can you pass your details on to the site editor as we would like to thank you properly.

This is also a reminder to everyone that Liphook is still a good place to live and there are good people out there who had no hesitation to come to our aid when we needed it the most.

Ian

There were two accidents at roughly the same time, yours and one in Hollywater Road.
At both, passers-by stopped and helped the injured.

It is a great thing when people are prepared to 'step-up'; I have lived in many countries where people would literally step over or around a fallen human.

I pray for a swift recovery and a fast diagnoses as to the allergic reaction.

How lovely, to read something positive and uplifting. I do the people in question make a quick and full recovery.

I hope that your girlfriend is now ok and glad that she received great care - just wondering was it this incident that led to the air ambulance landing last night?

The lady is my very lovely friend. I will point her in the direction of this post x

Hi All

It was this incident that led to the Air Ambulance landing in Liphook, much to the amusement of the Ambulance crew. The doctor onboard wanted to check Caz over as she had passed out and her breathing became very shallow. They are probably not ever going to read this but I cant speak highly enough of the emergency response either; 2 rapid response medics, 2 paramedics and the 3 Air Ambulance crew were brilliant, once Darren had given them a full briefing and handover ;-)

Caz is much better today so we will both be back to work tomorrow and no running through fields till we have a better idea of the allergen.

Thanks for all your kind words.

Ian
