Dog sh#t!
- SJC (8th May 2015 - 19:51:44)
To the young man in the blue top with the hood pulled over your head while walking a brown spaniel on Millennium Green at 19:30 today...how dare you allow your dog to sh#t and leave it for others. How would you feel if your child became blind as a result of getting dog sh#t in their eyes?
You're a disgrace. I would punish you and others like you by removing your pet and giving it to a responsible owner.

Little point having a rant at him here, very little chance he even knows Talkback exists.
What puzzles me is if you saw the ignorant devil allowing his dog to mess and then not clear it up why an earth did you not confront him there and then?
Not excusing what he did at all, utterly disgraceful, but far too many people hide behind the Internet to have a gripe but are not prepared to deal with issues like this face to face

I was driving to Sainsburys when I saw this happen...I was livid so turned around at the petrol station and drove back to confront him. Unfortunately he was no where to be seen, leaving the pile of stinking mess behind him. I even drove around for 5 minutes but could not see him.
I fully agree it is time that people stood up to these people.

Ian I don't think confronting this man would have done any good. He obviously didn't care anyway but who knows what his reaction would have been. It could have been a horrible situation.
So please don't get angry at the writer of this article but maybe shift it to the dog pooer owner!

Not getting angry at anyone, just disillusioned that so many people bravely have a go at others online but it seems very few are prepared to confront matters face to face.
I suspect that people are getting away with far more blatant anti social behaviour nowadays because to many people are frightened and want to avoid a "horrible situation" so post behind the safety of an iPad rather than actually DO SOMETHING.

Oh, and in recent weeks I have twice confronted dog owners who have not cleaned up after their animals. In both cases I did not get angry and in both cases the "horrible situation" was that they were extremely uncomfortable, embarrassed and apologetic after mumbling how they had come out without any bags.

i am a dog owner and i always clean up after my dog...i am fed up of the amount of dog mess on the millennium green this is where i walk round with my dog...
i am known to hand out bags to owners to dont pick up, and 'touch wood' everyone who i hand out one to, then pick up there and then...i also 9/10 times have dog bags in my pockets even when im not with my dog just incase i see someone round the village...
i think everyone not just dog owners need to keep eyes open for those who do wrong...try and catch them by photo?
and maybe if/when they get caught they can then CLEAN the outside of dog poo bins so they are nicer for us who DO use them... :D

I don't have a dog, but would like to thank all those owners who I do see cleaning up after their dogs.
