Election - S (8th May 2015 - 16:19:38) Great result for the East Hampshire Green Party & Peter Bisset with 3,176 votes, 6.2% of the vote! Across the country they received over a million votes, compared to 265,000 in 2010. That's almost as many votes as the SNP won, yet the SNP has 56 seats, while Green still only have one. Food for thought and surely added strength to the argument for proportional voting. I think it shows that the Green party isn't as much of a wasted vote as people seem to think, and maybe this result will give more people the confidence to vote Green next time around. www.facebook.com/easthantsgreenparty In other news, what is going through the minds of 60.7% of people in this constituency! Naturally it was always going to be a Tory win, but even more votes than last time?! Are we living in the same country?! ;)

Re: Election - Katie (8th May 2015 - 17:20:10) The Greens had my vote yesterday and I was thrilled and pretty surprised by how many other people voted for them. Horrified by how many people voted Conservative and yes, I also feel like we must be living in a parallel Universe.

Re: Election - stacey (8th May 2015 - 18:17:52) some results are through on the EHDC website for the District council elections. They have posted some results, not yet for Bramshott and Liphook. So far, there are 25 conservative councillors and 2 lib dems. No other party has been succesful yet. I believe there are about 13 more people yet to be elected. I imagine the results will be posted as soon as they are counted, but it does not seem to be in alphabetical order.
