Fracking
- Katie (5th May 2015 - 22:09:14)

Please read the linked article if you have any strong opinions about Fracking...

Ideally before you vote!!

Good idea, as they all seem to be as bad as the other on other issues, at least we know the Tories are Green-blind and are bad for our local fracking concerns. So if nothing else, maybe this should rule them out?

I suspect politicians support fracking because the majority of the voting public support it as well... According to a recent survey by Greenpeace.

This was a survey of just over 2000 people, so can hardly be said to be indicative of public opinion.

If/when fracking companies start circling the homes of those 2000 people I suspect they might do a bit of research about the potential risks and change their minds.

It's a shame that our local Lib Dem candidate also supports fracking. But then so do the Tory and Labour candidates. Although Green economic policies are bordering on woeful, they are the only party that is properly against fracking. Remember this if you are voting tactically or just registering a protest.
