small rec - gunns farm
- carole west (24th Apr 2015 - 17:01:26)

My daughter and I took our grand and great grand children to the rec this afternoon.

After being granted money from the lottery fund surely the rec should be looked after. There was broken glass, plastic bags, cans, general rubbish lying around and the grass is in desperate need of mowing.

I have always understood its the job of the parish council groundsmen to keep the grass cut, is this not the case?.

As for the litter its a disgrace. If you want your children to play there, teach them to put the litter in the bin provided, surely its not too much to ask!

Its the "after hours" users of the Skatepark that's causing the issue, I see them at it all the time. In the last week they have destroyed two shopping trolleys and left rubbish everywhere.

Its been said many times that the Skatepark is Liphooks problem hotspot on this forum but nothing is done other than the poster getting shouted down by others claiming we hate children, or they need a Skatepark or even we were all young once etc.

The little rec is nicely hidden away from all but a dozen residents and its us whom get woken by the smashing of trolleys etc after dark and nearly every weekend. Summer is going to be the worse

You have the wrong rec, gunns farm rec does not have a skate park.

Still has broken glass, plastic bags, cans, general rubbish lying around in common tho, Maybe you can lay a few sheets of dangerous steel in ramp like shapes around Gunns farm rec and bingo... same thing
