I am considering the purchase of a robot vacuum cleaner, has any-one locally any experience of using one of these. Alice

we have a Neato XV and we love it - it does a great job, gets carpets really clean.

Hi Thank you Jim for getting back to me. I fancy an iroomba which I intend buying from John Lewis. Contacted them today and as they offer a 30 days refund I don't see I can go wrong.

We had a basic Roomba some years ago .. for a family house (with a German Shepherd) I wouldn't recommend them as they don't really do the job on carpets .. but I also had one in my old apartment (just me living there) which had wooden floors and it was great for that. I'd also recommend not to buy the cheapest model. Good luck.
