Midnight flight

Hi
anyone any idea why there was a small plane circling the village at about midnight last night? I went round and round for about an hour so others must have seen/heard it too?

I called the local police & was told it was one of their light aircraft looking for someone. Didn't get any more details than that I'm afraid!

It's not the first time this has happened either - I have been kept awake several times by this bloomin' plane flying around the house in circles at night-time. If it is looking for someone, it doesn't have a search light (as the police helicopters do). It's very un-nerving - as if the Chinooks weren't enough ...
