New touring caravan park opens - Keen walker (10th Feb 2015 - 09:42:26) Lovely new site now open, great if you are keen on countryside walks. No electric, no running water, no shower blocks, no laundry facilities BUT the GOOD NEWS is, it's FREE to one and all! Where? Iron Hill car park! Happy holidays!

Re: New touring caravan park opens - Manuela Lozancic (10th Feb 2015 - 13:56:53) Hi, we took our dogs for a walk this morning on Iron Hill and noticed these 2 very run down caravans parked across the car park taking up most of the space. Apparently one van has been there for a few days now, with the second one arriving yesterday. There is a generator and gas bottles and the usual rubbish so clearly somebody is using them. Does anybody know if these are local labourers (there is some clearing work going on up on Iron Hill) or if these are from the Travelling Community?

Re: New touring caravan park opens - Toby (10th Feb 2015 - 17:56:48) Sounds like the same caravan that was in the layby on the London Rd. This departed last Sunday after causing residents a lot of nusiance. Find out who is responsible for the land the caravans are on ASAP otherwise you will be stuck with noise and litter.

Re: New touring caravan park opens - S (10th Feb 2015 - 19:39:44) According to one poster on the Haslemere Rants Facebook page, the police were seen up there this evening asking them to move on from Iron Hill.

Re: New touring caravan park opens - Glen (11th Feb 2015 - 16:42:45) Police will do very little as highlighted recently in the London Rd Layby. They will just advise it is the land owner's responsibility to move them on.
