stolen from Garden
- Mr GB (5th Feb 2015 - 15:39:23)

Beware of Garden thieves.

Between 7:30 and 11am this morning two sets of 4x4 alloys, 2 single alloy wheels and a complete auto gearbox for same vehicle were stolen from my garden backing onto Hazlebank Close. Other pilferable items were left so I suspect this was simply to sell on as scrap. These people are very blatant stealing during daylight hours. What they probably didn't know was my son was at home off sick from school and just knowing some scum-bags were in the garden whilst he was in house has left him quite scared. If anyone living in Hazlebank saw any large van or pickup in the area in this time, please let me know so I can pass info onto the police. If you have CCTV please run through this relatively small time window. Thanks.

Hi.
I'm sorry to hear you have also been a victim of these lowlife criminals. I can't help you in identifying them but we live very close to you - opposite Hazelbank Close. Bizarrely, we had our cast iron Wellington Boot rack and all 4 pairs of Wellies stolen from outside our front door sometime this morning. I can't imagine who would want to steal 4 pairs of Wellington boots but I guess they can sell the rack on.
I was in and out of the house all morning and didn't see anyone suspicious I'm afraid but I will definately be keeping my eyes open now!

Does anyone have any suggestions for surveillance cameras?

I need one where I have no power, as someone is dumping their ashtray on my driveway at the rear of my house where I actually have no view. I think I will only need to run it for one evening as it seems to be happening every night.

It might also catch the dog poo culprit!
