Anyone looking for a 2015 new challenge could consider running. I followed a " couch to 5k" training schedule (see links below) and ran in the Southsea santa run for the RNLI. Great fun and don't be put off by thinking "I can't run" - you could amaze yourself whilst doing something amazing for Bowel Cancer Screening. Get the ok from you GP before starting a new exercise regime. I am very much a beginner runner and would happily run as part of a group if any other people new to running fancy signing up and committing to run the 5k.

My brother in law died yesterday from a long and painful battle with bowel cancer so this seemed like a message aimed at me. I'll do it in his memory.
Yes I'd love to do it as part of a group as I might need a gentle nudge every now and again.

So sorry for your loss Susie. It is a cancer that does not get the high profile it needs (considering 1 in 18 people will develop the disease).
We are now officially a group of two!! It would be nice to get another 3 people. At the end of February perhaps it would be nice to meet up and have a few pre Bolt runs together.

Great, I'm trying to convince a few friends and I've convinced my 2 boys to run too.
