Handy person to fix garage door - Katie (21st Jan 2015 - 14:56:06) Hi, I am looking for someone to come and repair our up and over garage door. Recommendations very welcome! Thank you.

If it is one of the cables that has snapped or is failing on the door these can be replaced via DIY rather than paying someone. I ordered the Henderson cones and fitting kit from Amazon and used YouTube for a guidance video and it worked a treat.

Re: Handy person to fix garage door - Katie (21st Jan 2015 - 22:44:28) Thanks for the suggestion and I would do it, if I thought it would be safe, but it's one or possibly both of the hinges and spindles that need replacing and I'm worried it will fall on my head. My DIY skills aren't up to much!

Re: Handy person to fix garage door - ellie (22nd Jan 2015 - 00:37:26) Hi There there is a company near Farnham called Harpers doors, they have a website, and specialsie in repairs to those doors and may be worth a phone call. The number starts with 01252 but the rest is on the website.
