A3 Tunnel
- John Wingfield (16th Aug 2009 - 14:19:33)

Please can someone post a link showing the entire route of the A3 tunnel,ie aerial diagram / map. What i want to find out are the exact points at which we will join and leave the tunel when it is completed. I can find lots of pics of portals etc but not the entire route.

Any help will be much appreciated, thank you,

John ...

I tell you what, I'll be please when I don't have to queue up to go over that stupid little roundabout anymore.

You can't even turn onto the A3 from the Little Chef road anymore, have to join the queue to go around the roundabout to come back on yourself!

The traffic is worse now than it has ever been.

Nonsense. What about before the bypass was built? Memories are so short.

Getting through Hindhead is bad at times, but it always has been. And it's a small, now very temporary, price to pay for getting the tunnel completed. Which will be a huge benefit to all of us who need to travel that way.

What a shame it's so easy nowadays publicly to run down the great place in which we live.

Speaking as one who has used the A3 through Hindhead for the best part of thirty years I would say that the traffic delays are no worse than they ever were in the past especially in the last few weeks while the children have been on holiday.

I agree that the completed tunnel will be of immense benefit to us all in Liphook and environs and any delays are worth the end result.

Hi all, would just like to say:

a) I know that the tunnel will be a huge benefit to all of us;
b) I AM NOT trying to publicly to run down the great place in which we live;
c) have only lived here for 9 years, so cannot comment on what it was like before and
d) I still believe that that blinking roundabout is a pain in the backside (took me nearly half an hour to get over it yesterday)

Dawn

You should go round a roundabout not over it, that's why it's called a ROUND about
