BT email problem
- Mary W (14th Jan 2015 - 21:14:13)
Anybody having troubles with BT over the last few days? I have had at least 4 emails not getting through to friends between Liphook and the Guildford area.
Get a message saying 'delivery of message has been delayed'. Whatever that means. Apart from the fact they aren't getting the emails and we are having to resort to WhatsApp or texts.

BT service awful since Xmas, Engineer called but no change, if we log on more than one piece of equipment the whole lot crashes, are they downgrading the system to force people to upgrade to fibre?..We will see.

I agree - it's been bad since they dug up the road to put in infinity - which we can't get yet. I have to use wire when working from home as wireless keeps dropping. Has anyone had any success in getting an improved service and what did they do?
There is no recorded problem in the area based on good searches.
Thanks
| | If your broadband works OK when connected by wire (ethernet) then the problem will be with your wireless router or interference from other devices, cordless phones, video senders, wireless central heating etc. Not the ADSL service provided by BT to your property. |

Wired or wireless makes no difference, Engineer baffled, buying stone tablet, hammer and chisel at weekend might be quicker.

I can access internet searching fine on wireless but for work I need more of a connection (possibly higher speed) and that used to work fine on wireless before the dug up the roads and now will work intermittently on wireless but works fine on wired.
There is definitely a drop in capacity (presumably download speed) since they dug up the road.
Is there any way of checking this?
Thanks
