Breakthrough Breast Cancer and AVON
- Dawn Hoskins (1st Aug 2009 - 16:46:40)
Avon have totally re-invented themselves in the 20 years that have gone by since I saw a brochure! I was so impressed that I have decided to become a rep!
One of the main deciding factors for me is their massive support for funding and research into breast cancer. So far they have raised more than £13 million – which they give to ‘Breakthrough Breast Cancer’.
They encourage reps to hold ‘gatherings’ were they can hold a raffle so profits can go straight to the charity. They call them ‘Pink Pamper Parties’ (but I’m never going to!!!).
In every catalogue there is a section devoted to the charity, called the ‘Crusade pages’, where they sell the usual charity bracelets and brooches / pins as well as other products.
As well as the regular ANEW products which have been around for decades, they now have brilliant new ranges:
Planet Spa - for luxury products at affordable prices.
Botanicals – 100% preservative, fragrance and dye free. Fantastic for allergy sufferers.
Minerals – 100% naturally derived pigments with Shea butter. Talc free and dye free
Magix – to smooth lines and pores. A fantastic product.
Perfect wear – special ALL DAY make up, won’t rub off, kiss off or get rained off.
Skin So Soft – a massive new range of different product and fragrances.
Footworks – a huge range a pampering products for feet.
Nail Perfect – for gorgeous hands and nails.
Jewelry – from the cheap and cheerful to stunning evening wear.
Underwear – to rival Marks and Spencer’s, a huge range with small prices.
The BEST thing about it, is they give a 90 day returns promise. So if the shade doesn’t match your dress, or you don’t like the smell, or a product doesn’t ‘do what it says on the tin’ – it just gets sent straight back – no questions asked. You get a full refund even if you have used the products.
I have a long history of fighting breast cancer, and I really do hope that some of you will consider having an afternoon / evening with a few friends over (maybe a few lemonades) so you can
a) raise money for research into breast cancer prevention and treatment.
b) try out lots of products for free
c) have a good fun time!
If you don’t want to have a ‘gathering’ and would like to see a catalogue you can call or e-mail me on 01428 751561 / purplecurly@hotmail.co.uk
