Our cat Rolo missing
- Jacqui Middleton (10th Jan 2015 - 09:06:26)

Hi
Our young and rather nervy white and black cat went missing on Wednesday afternoon. If you see him he is mainly white with a few black patches (two on his head). We live at the Old Thorns end of the Longmoor Rd (just on the edge of the village next to the wood). If you see or catch him could you phone 01428 - 289103. There will be a small reward for your trouble.
Thanks very much
Jacqui Middleton

Hello.
Myself & daughter spotted a white cat with black splodges sitting on the edge of the wooded area opposite the turning for Old Thorns/Deers hut. Slightly south of the turning (towards A3) rather than after the turning (hope that makes sense). The cat was just sitting on a post/tree stump. I pointed him out to my daughter as we drove by. Hope he comes home soon.

Thank you very much - we have two cats fitting this description although the other one (Patch) has more black on him and is not so adventurous (brothers - let's hope it's Rolo!) - off to look right now. Will inform this thread if we find him - thanks so much.

I live just before the bend on longmoor road will keep a look out. I am always cycling in the woods and around that area.

Thanks so much - very kind - that's where I reckon he is ...

Still missing - if you want to know what he looks like you can view him at this link:

Will be popping up a few posters around the village over the next couple of days.

Note we still have his brother Patch who has a lot more black on his face - his brother is really missing him ...

Cheers

Trying to keep this thread going as very sadly we still have not found Rolo - I still live in hope as we have not seen a little body by the road. Please do contact us if you have had any sightings of a strange white and black cat in your gardens. I think I will move some of the posters to the Griggs Green end - just in case he got trapped on the other side of the river and could not get back ... I hate the idea of him being out in the snow if he is still alive ... contact details on earlier messages ...
Cheers

Have shared the link on Facebook for you Jacqui - do hope you find him soon.

Fingers crossed he's just taken himself off on a temporary holiday to another warm fireside with lots of treats from a well meaning cat lover.

Thank you very much Jay - not being a facebook user!

Have there been any sightings of late?

Re: Our cat Rolo missing

He really has completely disappeared - I wonder if the worst has happened ... I have now moved the posters from the Avenue (one had already been taken down) and put one up at the Griggs Green end. However - I wonder if all the sightings have been on Patch ... the remaining brother ... who is sat by me as I write ...
Oh well ... I am hoping he is curled up somewhere comfy and warm ...
Cheers

I think you should get a friend for Patch from Cats Protection. There's nothing like replacing something that's missing for the original to turn up! You might end up with three pusskats but so what...
Good luck.
