PEDL231 is a huge area bounded by Alton in the north, Petersfield in the south and Haslemere to the east. Clearly every Liphook postcode is included in the area.
This is would appear to be the Licence under which drilling is wanted near Fernhurst.
This is not new information as the Companies have already undertaken the seismic activity and the current but rejected request for the drilling of one well in Fernhurst which was covered by the national press and this site - see Fernhurst Fracking Decision Sept 2014.
Interesting to see that the Licence has a "drill or drop" commitment. So if they cannot drill in South Downs National Park will they want to drill further north!
