Our Man at Westminster - Paul Robinson (19th Jul 2009 - 07:08:04) Those of us who were wondering what had happened to our erstwhile Liphook.co.uk contributor James Arbuthnot will be relieved to see him Chairing the Commons Defence Committee last week and grilling a pugnacious Mr Broon over the levels of investment in troop support for those in Afghanistan. Is it me? or did his questioning lack any agression and, much like the dormouse in Alice in Wonderland, he withered at the sight of the baleful visage and prodding finger of the P.M. Paul Robinson

Re: Our Man at Westminster - Bill Ratcliffe (20th Jul 2009 - 18:05:41) Yes, after the expenses scandel MP's have lost all authority to comment on important issues like Benefit Fraud, Law & Order and standards of behaviour in society. Perhaps they should be served an ASBO to keep them out of the gravy train at Westminster. Their speeches, news paper columns, soundbites now seemed to have lost all importance and relevance to how people are living their lives. The political class has been found out with their hand in the till and voters will not be fooled any longer.
