LOST DOG
- Karen (14th Jul 2009 - 09:33:49)
Can anyone help? Dog gone missing this morning, was being walked at Iron Hill, but made a break for it and was last seen heading on road up to Highfield School.
Her name is Maisie and she is a Vizsla (brown short haired) and medium build. She is ony 2 years old and will be scared as she is on unknown territory.
Has anyone seen her? Please call 07979 156150 if you have any information. Many thanks

Just to say that sadly after 14 hours of searching for Maisy, we have still not managed to bring her home. She was last seen in the cornfield along Highfield Lane at around 4pm but she legged it again and we still havent managed to track her down. Finally we have called it a night and will be out again at sunrise.
If anyone does see her, please please please call Zoe on 07979694455. She is scared so may not be easily approachable.
Many thanks

Karen, Zoe, I assume that you have reported her missing to the Police and to the RSPCA? We did both when our dog went walkabout some years ago. When the lady that found him phoned the police to report the find the police were able to match the find with the loss (if you see what I mean).
The irony was that he was found by the person to whom we had been taking him to for obedience classes some 3 miles away!

I may have seen your dog yesterday, sorry I can't be sure as I don't recognise the areas you mentioned? But when I drove back from Liphook at around 4 pm on 14th, I saw a dog similar wandering along the Liphook Road, very skittish of cars and had tail between legs, ears down flat, it scuttled into the driveway of Headley Grange in Headley. It was wearing a thin collar with tag, but I noticed a blue collar, which I thought was unusual, and not as the one in your picture, so not sure if it was your pet.
I'm sure you are concerned, and hope you have tried the local police etc., in case someone has handed your beloved pet in, may I suggest you go on to the website of Doglost.co.uk, I am a volunteer helper/look out for lost dogs in our area and they are always seeking others, they also post photos and information across their network of friends who will look out for your pet, it's free, so please do go on the site and register for help to find your dog. Very best of luck, hope is home with you soon.

Have you tried Delta Radio. When our dog went off once - within about half an hour someone had contacted them and we were re-united.

We are still looking for Maisy. She was last seen on the Headley Road at 0600hrs but we lost her in the cornfield just before the flyover.
There have been various sightings of her over the last couple of days ranging from Liphook Golf Course to Passfield so if anyone does see her please call us on either 07979694455 or 07921761278. The majority of the sightings have been very early in the morning between 0600hrs and 0900 hrs by people on their way to work.
Any information you may have would be very gratefully received.
Many thanks

Editor - "How far had she strayed ?"
Zoe - "Everywhere we think but we had a sighting back in the cornfield just before the flyover at Headley Road where she was seen yesterday, at about 3pm today. We chased her from the field up the Headley Road where she finally succumbed outside the vets to a Bohunt school kid (thank you whoever you were!) and we managed to get her. She is so happy now and only a few cuts and bruises to show for her 4 days in the wild!
It has been a truly awful experience for everyone involved but we have some amazing friends who helped us and the local community were just fantastic so thank you for all you did…
Hopefully we wont be posting anything like that up again on the website!!"
