portsmouth road - green croos code (29th Dec 2014 - 19:22:49) TO ALL Pedestrians the Portsmouth road IS stiill ised by cars please LOOK before you walk straight out into the road tonigh a mum and child heads down walked straight out luckily going slow you need to pay attention Get you head out of your phones and look around there is a crossing 3 steps away even if the road is closed it is still in use! a few steps is better than sitting on a car bonnet

Re: portsmouth road - Neighbour (7th Jan 2015 - 22:47:41) I know what you mean!! I've noticed especially the children from Bohunt school on route home walking in the middle of the road! It's so dangerous! The other problem has been complacency, motorists using the road regularly (going down to the old bohunt manor) just motoring along! Then swinging around that corner assuming there will be no cars/pedestrians/children playing/dog walkers! Yesterday 2 police cars zoomed down here (admittedly on blues) forgetting the road was closed (quite funny) but still swinging around that corner! It maybe like a cul-de-sac at the moment but it's still a busy little road!
