LIPHOOK IN BLOOM NEEDS YOU
You all did a wonderful job organizing and supporting the [Carnival Commitee] fun day last Sunday now WE need your support.
On next Sunday July 5th the liphook in Bloom team are having a tidy up day in preparation for the visit of both South & South East in Bloom on July 17th and the big one we have been invited to represent the South of England in Britain in Bloom on August 5th. We know by your comments that you appreciate the planting but what you probably don’t know is our work does not stop there.
All the streets and anywhere the judges can see as they tour our village has to be litter free and weed free. Yes the councils do there bit but there are areas that they cannot do.
We are a very small team and some of us are not as young as we would like to be so please, please, please if you can spare a couple of hours Sunday morning come to Midhurst road car park at 9-30am and bring the family. Your efforts will be rewarded with a cup of coffee/tea Kit-Kat and the satisfaction of helping to make our village a place to be proud to live in.
If you cannot make it Sunday how about getting outside your gates and clearing the weeds and sweeping the pavements in front of your homes, shops and businesses. Let’s show the judges we have the best community in England.

Hi Irene
I am unable to make Sunday - but I will pop up to Liphook either Wednesday or Saturday to make sure the front of our row of shops is cleared. It would be nice if all shops could put in a little time. If some are too busy - perhaps they could let me know via the shop (Hardware) and I will do their fronts too.
Unfortunately the back of the area (Between the shops and the old Fairfield building - and running alongside to the Doctors) is in desperate need of attention, but without help and co-operation from the owners it is unlikely to be sorted.
best wishes
Sue Woods

What a wonderful turn out on Sunday morning. Young LiDBA men, families and even people who don’t live in Liphook. Perhaps it was the coffee and Kit-Kats that brought you out!!!!!!!!!!A BIG THANK YOU to you all. It’s lovely to live in such a great community that all pull together when it’s needed. We now need to keep it tidy for another few weeks.
Let’s hope that all your efforts will be well rewarded on July17th and the big one August 5th.

Just a quick line Irene to say well done to yourself and everybody who turned out to support Liphook in Bloom.
I drove back through the village returning from the weekly battle of the shopping expedition and saw the amount of people out doing a sterling job.
ps: How much work did the dog manage, especially with his or her Hi Viz jacket on.
Well done.

Just a big thank you to all the people that helped to make Liphook look so fantastic on Friday for our judges from South & South east in Bloom even the weather was kind to us. They seemed suitably impressed but we have to wait until September to find out HOW impressed.
Now we have 2 weeks before the Britain in Bloom judges arrive on Wednesday August 5th. These RHS judges do have eyes in the back of their heads so we do need to keep the village at its best.
By the way the judges are coming by train the night before so it is likely that they will see places not on our tour.
