Nurseries in Liphook - are there any?
- Tom (27th Aug 2004 - 10:44:29)

My wife and I live in Liphook and we have a young baby. My wife is thinking about returning to work - just part time - so we thought we'd find out about the nurseries in Liphook.

We've asked around everywhere, but the answer seems to be that there aren't any.

Is this really true?

(p.s. I'm hoping someone will say 'no - there's a really good, reasonably priced one just down the road'...)

Yes there is a nursery in Liphook. I have got a baby myself and have been trying to get hold of the nursery to find out about spaces, but if you phone there is no answer....ever.

They are called Little Cherubs, and as far as I know they are very expensive.

I have tried the idea of starting a good affordable, friendly nursery in Liphook, but as I couldn't find any premisses and Ofsted try their damnest to put people of the idea of starting new private nurseries I have decided to bring my baby up all by myself.

You could always try Haslemere, but that is if you want to pay through your neck and also sit in traffic every morning.

Good Luck with the search.

Tina

I don't think so but the following link may point you to a few surrounding ones.

Surrey may have an equivalent page as well.

Tina - could you elaborate more on the troubles you had attempting to set up a private nursery? I would have thought this is quite a community led type of thing, and something we could surmount if everyone got together and made it happen? Just curious, thats all.
