Still more expensive than the new bus though?

Dawn
You are right Dawn, but if people decided to get together and share, you could bring the cost down to £1.50 a journey.

This whole sorry episode might actually have the effect of bringing people together. Even 'shock horror' TALK to one another instead of burying their heads in the FT (not very English!)
I am not commuting at the moment and must admit that when I do I am usually on the 6:45 from Waterloo - for which there is no bus at this end. So I think that a good deal of making friends and clubbing together of taxi fees is in order - good healthy competition might even get Apple Cabs (or whatever they are called at Liphook Station) to provide a polite service!
Maybe we should get some badges printed ''Bordon / Passfield passenger - lets share a taxi'' so that we can be recognised before we get off the train!!

Dawn
I will do anything to help!
Thanks Peter.
Re: Bordon for £6 - Dawn Hoskins (22nd May 2009 - 13:49:03)
In town yesterday - had to drive to Haslemere as
a) didn't want to get stranded there with no onward Liphook link
b) even if train did stop at Liphook - no bus service after 6pm
I did notice however that the number 18 bus was running untill quite late from Haslemere Station - which would get you to whitehill at least?
I am still a bit confused at how the number 18 and 13 buses are interlinking with each other and the 2 railway stations.

if you look at the date of the thread may 2009 i think not .If it is this price still i think the taxi company must have its own oil well in their back garden!!!!!!
