Liphook Village Surgery
- Jo (19th Nov 2014 - 11:26:12)

I've have just tried to get a Dr's appt at this surgery, it's not urgent, I'm not on my last legs but am stunned to have been told that I could not make an appt. I would have to call at 8.30am next Tuesday in order to try and secure an appt for the following week. Is it just me that finds this bizarre?

No, i had a similar thing last wednesday for my daughter. wasnt urgent but also wanted her seen within a couple of days. To be told to ring back at 8.30 2 days later to get an appointment for the week after was really disappointing. I really like the doctors surgery, the doctors are helpful and positive. but the booking in system is really poor.

And people wonder why the Hospitals are in such a pickle!. I also don't like that they prescribe tablets over the phone, without talking your blood pressure ect...........

Maybe it`s because of the flood they had and they are unable to work with the full capacity of doctors - rooms damaged etc - just a thought. Hope you get appointments anyway.

I would recommend you register with EMIS so that you can book online. I find this very useful as it allows me to see all available appointments with each doctor for several weeks ahead and I can make a booking at a time that suits me. I must admit though, the first one currently showing is November 28th!
Ask at reception for details.
