Ferret - Derek (18th Nov 2014 - 18:30:23) Has anybody lost a Black and Tan ferret, spotted on Weavers Down this afternoon. 14.15 18th.

Re: Ferret - Derek (19th Nov 2014 - 13:39:54) Thank you for that information, I think you are right, having never seen a polecat before I surmised it was a ferret. Will have to keep my camera handy. Looked for it this morning but could not see it myself but my dog was on the trail of something in the same area.

Re: Ferret - JP (29th Nov 2014 - 12:38:30) OMG !!!. I have just been for a walk on Weavers Down and saw the Pole Cat twice and have NO doubt, it is NOT a Ferrett. I saw it going through the hedge row as it stopped and looked at me and then it crossed the track in to the opposite side so got a good front and side view. It made my day ! I do not want to give the exact location in case there is a hunter wanting a trophy and just pray no one turns Weaver Down in to a golf course.
