I think this pay is under the minimum wage not sure though

I believe minimum wage is 6.50 per hour. The ad does not mention petrol allowance either if you are usimg your own car? I imagine the bleow minimum wage is offered so as not to have to declare you as a proper employee? sounds like a zero hours contract whereby the 6 pound part is only paid if you have a delivery in those hours? possibly? I may be wrong! I had a similar situation happen to me and the pay was only forthcoming as long as the clients actually booked for the hour, the 50p probably acts as a retainer

Just to clarify the minimum wage is £6.50 over 21 and £5.13 for 18-20 year olds.
