memorial maples

sad to see the memorial maples as you drive down the A3 are in the main obscured by other trees growing in front of them. When they removed the ones on the central reservation it was my understanding that the new ones would visible. They used to be stunning.

I agree. It was such a shame when they felled the trees from the central reservation. One consolation is that surely the proceeds from the sale of the wood went to a good cause!! Does anyone know which one?
