Yes! Went there last Friday and the smell was terrible. Luckily couldn't smell it from where we were eating otherwise I think I would have left. I won't be rushing back either if its still not been sorted. How anyone can work behind the bar with that smell is beyond me. Yuck!

The manager of the pub shouted at a customer because you pointed out an offensive smell?
Is there a record of this sort of abuse of customers or are you and he at loggerheads over anything else?
It seems all our drinking establishments in the village are having a bad time at the moment.

The smell appeared when the assistant manager went on holiday recently , maybe he left a pair of his socks under the bar! In all seriousness I mentioned this smell to the manager who has been doing his upmost to sort it out so stop moaning and support your local pubs or there won\'t be any😀

People
I hope you are reporting this to Fullers?
We have always found them very appreciative and reactive to the roller coaster ride offered by the Links over the last 10 years or so.
Aside from these reports we have been enjoying one of their Up times, when they are our favourite place _ but to be missed during their Down times.

Fullers are aware of this problem and we are in the process of getting it sorted. That is why we are having the floors re done today as we believe water has got stuck in between.
Unsure why Lee felt the need to approach the manager at the end of a very busy night when he was clearly very intoxicated and start personally attacking the manager verbally. A very immature way to deal with something that was originally complained about when the General Manager was on holiday so had never even spoken to the guy before. If he had actually listened he would of heard us saying we were getting the floors done today. Not sure what his problem is?
Thank you to all our lovely locals for your continued support. We are trying our best to make The Links a pub Liphook can be proud of.

I think calling one of your customers "immature" is probably the type of attitude that's getting you a bad name. Good customer service always meant that "the customer is always right" ....regardless. Unless physically abused then the licencees of this "public house" should maybe show a little more professionalism in future and turn the other cheek and sort the problem out. Otherwise people will go somewhere else and no one wants that.
