Kitten hit by car on haslemere road
- James (20th Sep 2014 - 09:14:18)

Hi I just witnessed someone hit this kitten and drive off !
As cat owner I couldn't just leave it in the road it is a white and Ginger very young kitten hit just by manor fields and appears to of died instantly.
If I don't hear from anyone in 24 hours I will bury it.

James please don't bury it - it might be microchipped and the vet in Headley Road will just run a scanner over it and tell you it's owner.

That is just terrible. No doubt the driver was going far too fast or they would have been able to stop in time. And to just drive off is unbelievable. We live on Haslemere Road and have 2 cats. I fear for them constantly when I see how fast most people drive. It is a 30mph residential area with children and pets, not a race track. If people want to travel at 60mph between Liphook and Haslemere they should jolly well use the A3.
You have done an honourable thing James, thank you. I hope the owners get in touch with you. There will be a very sad family out there somewhere.

I will take the kitten to the vets Monday and see if it's chipped ,
