two things...

Good - under 12's get a free cream egg if they say 'Happy Easter' at the customer service desk at Sainsburys

Bad - deisel is 2p more expensive at Sainsburys than the Shell in Bordon which is 99.9p

Look out for a 5p off fuel when you spend £50 or more in store promotion. I'm convinced they sneak the price up before they hold one.

Is it me or just a coincidence that the fuel went up at sainsburys after it was closed for pump refurbishment,or was there a fuel rise all over?1!

Am I being cynical or are Sainsbury's.

Has anyone bought a gallon of fuel and paid cash and held their hand out for the .001 change?

I hope you all check your receipts at Sainsburys.... mine has been as much as 10 percent out! They appear to have a problem uploading the 'special offers' onto the tills and subsequently you are over charged. A while ago I had really come to the end of my tether so complained loudly (very).

They once again offered me apologies and proffered monies owed .......however this time I was in no mood for smiley supervisor (same supervisor who is mean to teenagers working on tills because they act like teenagers!! duhh)....so continued to complain ...loudly (very).

I told her that if i decided to snaffle a bottle of single malt out under my tee shirt they would call it theft and quite frankly I could see not difference between snaffling single malt and snaffling customers money. By this time other customers were enjoying mad lady getting irate at smiley supervisor and there was a chorus of agreement.

Smiley supervisor stopped being smiley and called for smiley manager. Smiley manager gave me £20 vouchers (hush money me thinks ) Maybe i sell them on ebay n spend said hush money in Tescos! (for the record - the author of this gripe in no way advocates snaffling single malt !! :)

I held my hand out for half a cream egg - and got it without wrestling child to the ground!

I wonder how many times he could pull that off before staff got to recognise his face.
Mmmmm I think some fake eyebrows and some hair dye might be called for...................

Must look after those pennies then the pounds will look after themselves!!
Remember we are in the credit crunch!!

Claire

Might send you in for our Sainsbury's donation to Fun Day this year. A £20 voucher for complaining, that is a complete result. They gave me a £10 voucher as their contribution to the Carnival Committee's Fun Day last year, apparently that was all they could afford from their 'Community Donations' Budget. Please.... How much do they set aside for the 'Customer Hush Money' budget?

ps. To make matters worse, I lost the voucher in my non-existent and completely inadequate filing system.

I had a token that allowed me a £6.00 discount if I spent £60.00 at Sainsburys.
I forgot to take it with me on the day I shopped but returned the following day with my receipt, showing that I had spent more than £60.00 and the token but was refused a refund by smiley supervisor.
I then tried to give it to another shopper but was told this was not allowed

I know it wasn't on this media but if you look out into the big world you would see that it is the Goverment has put 2 p a litre on fuel so we can bale out another Scottish Bank (Up st George Home rule for the English!!!!!)

As regular buyer of fuel in both this country and europe I would suggest Shell to be competitive for price and of the supermarkets Morrisons are the most consistant. we are cheaper than a lot of Euro nations now but dont tell Gordon as I am sure he will change that

my son has been in and has had a creme egg four times now. He point blankly refused the apple or orange. No competition really :-)

Fuel costs going up . . .surely not. . .

Did I not hear Prime Minister Broon on the Jeremy Vine show today say that both food costs and the price of fuel were going down?

Well, I suppose with MP's general running costs on their second homes being funded by the tax payer he could be forgiven for not knowng the price of a sink plug!
