Macmillan fundraising

I am just throwing an idea out here in the hope someone may take up the challenge?? Being a cancer sufferer and having received fantastic support from Macmillan myself I am wondering, with the forthcoming carnival, whether it is viable,permitted etc to have a float reminding people of what Macmillan does. I don't know if it would be permitted to collect for Macmillan or whether all proceeds have to go to the carnival committee??? Anybody interested? Any ideas?? Macmillan could provide tee-shirts, collection boxes and probably a lot of other merchandise. I have e-mailed them as to what they could do and what they think of the idea BUT really need to know if it would be welcomed. Obviously I am biased but almost everybody you speak to nowadays has someone they know with cancer and Macmillan do give the most amazing support. Would be grateful to hear any views,suggestions etc. Thanks Glynis
