Found cat
- Amanda (28th Aug 2014 - 18:43:16)
In the last two weeks we have had a cat in the garden. I have three dogs, so must find the owner quickly.

Hi, where are you in the village?
What does the cat look like?

We are in Burgh Hill Bramshott, but cats can travel quite a long way.
Have you lost a cat?If so , will you give me a description?

Hi my neighbour's cat has gone missing from Liphook near Berg estate so quite a distance but just in case it's the same one, she's a tabby cat - so black, grey and white stripes and if she still has collar it's pink. Does that match your found cat.
Thanks

I did contact that lady, but it is not her cat. This cat is not microchipped.
The cat is now with the cat protection, and will be found a caring home.

Could it be that the cat was just minding it's own business and felt like spending some time in your garden?
It seems a little bit hasty to ship it off to the Cat's Protection when it could well have a home nearby - were there obvious signs of it being lost / stray, asking you for food, underweight etc.?
One of my cats goes away for days or weeks at a time during the summer, wish I knew where he went, but he always comes back again - I would hate to think that this was a cat with similar tendencies who won't be able to mosey home again due to now being rehomed by CPL?!
Not everyone uses this website, and unfortunately not everyone microchips their pets - so perhaps a few posters in the locality would be a sensible precaution before rehoming the poor bugger!
Just concerned that there might be some confused owners somewhere wondering where their cat has gone!

I do not own a cat! I just thought that it would make sense for you to give us a discription! Prehaps we should just play the guessing game!
Hope he/she is reunited with his/her owner soon.

Daisy is still missing from Chiltey Lane / Berg area. She is tabby with white socks and two black spots on her back legs. It is now over a week and missing the little naughty very much.

Come on guys, Amanda said she has 3 dogs so clearly she was concerned for the cat's safety. At least she made an effort in putting info on the website and then contacting CPL.
Whilst she was spending more of her time and money making and putting up posters that may never have been seen by the owner, her dogs could have caused harm to the cat.
Lots said on here about dog owners being responsible - same applies to cat owners - get them microchipped (since we all know the little devils can remove their collars in a matter of minutes).
I do hope the other cat turns up safely.
