TV signal problems?
- paul (8th Aug 2014 - 07:49:51)

Hi,

Are there any reported problems for bbc, itv, and ch.4 channels?

According to the digital tv website digital uk, there is an ongoing problem with a local relay which stops some channels being broadcast to us. But, contrary to the original blurb, Freeview is affected by the weather and it is not uncommon to loose channels in very hot, windy, wet, cold weather.

Hi Phelim,

Thank you for the information.

A Freesat box seems the way to go around here.

My neighbour has freeview box and kept loosing channels.
His aerial was checked and all working fine.
The man checking the aerial ,re tuned their freeview box up to channel 49.
He told them that they had been picking up transmissions from another area from channel 50 plus. They where getting Midhurst transmitter up to channel 49. Then the double channels kicked in and the two transmitters where working against each other. Causing them to loose channels.
My neighbour says other than a very bad rain storm they have had no problems since.

Not sure if this will help but maybe worth trying if you keep having problems.

We have sky and other than a heavy rainfall. We have never had a signal problem yet.
