Just in case people are not aware of this imminent closure...
A3 to be closed between 10.00pm Friday 27 March to 5am Monday 30 March more details in Newsletter No 12. See the Traffic Management page for diversion route information.
The closure will be between 10pm on Friday 27 March
to 5.00am on Monday 30 March. We will block the A3
at Headley Road junction and the Liphook junction.
At this time the Hazel Grove junction with the existing
A3 will be closed completely. Access to Hazel Grove
will be via Nutcombe Lane.
Hammer Lane will be available to access properties
alongside the A3. Only Grayshott traffic and local
access will be allowed south of the Hindhead
crossroads.
Traffic wishing to access Grayshott and Hindhead
from the south will be sent via the A325 and B3002
at Bordon.
Local residents on roads being closed will receive
individual letters explaining access arrangements.
If you are expecting visitors that weekend please
advise them of the closure. Long distance traffic
passing through Hindhead will be diverted via the
A31 and A325.
Once the A3 re-opens all A3 and Hazel Grove traffic
will use the new roundabout.
