Green Dragon lease for sale. - paul (15th Jul 2014 - 21:24:59)
Hi,
I see that there is a sign outside the pub.
Is there any reason so soon after the place re-opening, a change is to happen?

Big shame! The landlady put on a great party for us and the place looks lovely both outside and inside.

I see the pub lease is up for the sale. If the person who runs the pub also owns the lease this could be a be a big step forward. I have not been in the Dragon for some years and I hear the new people have improved things - but if they do not have the lease then flexibility and scope for improvement must be limited.

Both times i have visited there has been no one in there apart from a couple in their 40's very drunk and unable to leave each other alone at the bar in front of the bar girls i would imagine this was the reason that there was no one else in the bar it was quite off putting!!

I took my Mum here for a meal. The food was really reasonably priced and the service excellent. Nice glass of white wine too. So if you want a step up from The Hungry Horse but not to pay The Links or the Deer's Hut prices I would recommend it.
