Reports of a strange man in Radford Park
- Susie (25th Jun 2014 - 21:04:46)

I've heard several people over the last week say they have seen a man in camo. climbing out of the bushes in Radford Park. A friend also described what sounds like the same man cycling towards the park a couple of days ago, in a camo poncho, with a wooly hat pulled low over his face. Has anyone else seen him?

I encountered a very odd man the other morning too, standing on the stones smoking but with his hood pulled down so I couldn't see his face, as I tried to get a look at him he kept turning his back to me so I couldn't see his face. Very odd. I'm not sure if its the same man but this guy was also standing over a toilet roll, is he living rough in the park??? Has anyone been near the cave lately?

I had heard this and had heard the Police have been made aware. This was a good few weeks ago.

If you know him, then can you please confirm if he is living rough down there or not?

I also know this person everyone is losing there heads about, n I can say without a doubt 2anyone, there is no need4ppl2start panicking about wot he is up2 or sld someone b aware that he is there day and sometimes night and sometimes in the silly hrs... Has anyone of u that has had2bring this person2everyones attention via this page, got anything2report that he has done???? or does it just bother u that he's there, doing his own thing, minding his own business not hurting, damaging, demolishing, being rude, killing wildlife, or wrecking Radford.. This person has every rite2b there anytime day or night, or even in the silly hrs!! So y has he been labelled a "strange man"? Wot has he done2warrent that name, can anybody tell me? or is it the fact that he's different than others, this page wld b more benificial 2 everyone if it was used in the correct manner, not just4gossip, if the Google-eyed ppl that started this piece of gossip about this innocent person, n used there eyes and this page2report it, then mayb someone wld have an idea about wot happened2that poor old lady that was found dead in her drive by that poor scared papergirl!! Now that's so much more interesting n useful than wot im replying this post2..

If you read the original posting it was a query, I didn't accuse him of anything but where our children's safety is in question I wanted to know and I'm sure others would too. Now several people have cleared it up I haven't seen or heard anything which implies anyone is unhappy with that.
I still haven't heard anything about the second man though, who is also littering the park on a regular basis with his tobacco packets and toilet paper.
Can you imagine how bad any of us would feel if something DID happen and others weren't aware of suspicions?

To anyone who is watching wildlife please just say hello or chat to others in the park, when you don't make eye contact or avoid us it makes us suspicious.

It took me so long to understand what you had typed..

'where our children's safety is in question' Not sure acting in an unconventional manner and childrens safety in inextricably linked. Recent events regarding television stars from the 70s has shown us that.

But then again, If I was to show a keen interest in wild camping with the view to observe wildlife I'd choose a better location than Raddy!
