Re: Free to collector ... - Mark Finch (11th Mar 2009 - 08:24:38) Yes it is an upright. Seems to have been quite nice once upon a time. A small inlaid design, plus a couple of candle holders. Wood looks a bit wallnut (from a guy that can only just tell an oak and a pine apart !).

Re: Free to collector ... - Finchie (14th Mar 2009 - 11:37:39) Actually - just dusted it down to take to "piano heaven", lifted the lid to find it is a J Strohmenger c. the late 1800's. A quick interweb search indicates we should probably keep it !! So it is now off the market, and will be moved to the living room ! Phew - that was close. Cheers, Finchie
