wanted: working hoover for uni flat

Planning ahead for september, if anyone is updating their hoover and have an unwanted but good working condition old hoover, i am in need of one for my uni flat.

Does it have to be a Hoover? or will any working brand of vacuum cleaner do?

I'm about to take one to the tip, the filters constantly need cleaning but if you want it message me you can pick it up.
