It's closed from Malthouse Meadows as well.
Major incident in a house where road is closed off is All police can say.
They are not sure how long road is going to be closed off.
So best to use Midhurst Road and Devils Lane to get to areas past Malthouse Meadows and to Haslemere at present.
| | Would not recommend Devils Lane, too narrow and muddy. I would say use Midhurst Road, Highfield Lane and then join Haslemere Road. |

Devils Lane has been a nightmare this morning and continues to be so. Traffic has had to reverse both ways due to so much of it.

Mine are as well, I didn't mean any offence to her family or friends.
Do you know if the road is still closed as my friend would normally use the Haslemere Road when getting home.
Thank you and apologies if I upset anyone as it was not my intention to do so.

People amaze me .
If this poor lady was one of your relations and was found in this sad way.
You would be disgusted and upset by the selfishness of people on here.
Have some respect.
So your day has been slightly disrupted by having to use a different route because of this poor lady's circumstances.
At least you have your loved ones to see.
Have some respect for this lady's poor family at this very sad time.

Betty - if you re-read the thread properly you will see that nobody is being disrespectful in any way to the lady in question. Moreover, people have been in every way sympathetic once it has become clear what the cause of the disruption was.

I agree with Betty, disgusting that people feel their two minute diversion doesn't quite fit with their day. Perhaps if something similar had happened to them, they may behave a little more considerately!

Betty - no-one is being disrespectful. But you on the other hand have been very rude. Was there really any need?

I originally posted this as I live on Haslemere road and very near to this incident, I was merely asking why it was closed as no sign of a car accident just police and they couldn't tell us.
I feel very sorry for the lady and her family and friends, I can't imagine how they are all feeling.

I actually think that those people making inaccurate accusations of inappropriate comments should apologise (that's You Betty and Debbie).
In future they should also take more time to read and reflect before causing further upset. People went out of their way to not show disrespect but yet were accused anyway.

Such tragic and shocking news.
I feel like any squabbling over whose response was right or wrong is wholly inappropriate, perhaps it is time to stop commenting on this thread altogether.

Unfortunately so many topics on this forum seem to turn into quite unnecessary back-biting exercises, and it's a shame this one has too. I'd like to send my deepest condolences to the family concerned and apologise for the nonsense on this thread.

S - There isn't any squabbling, It looks like Betty and Debbie haven't read the thread properly and they are being rightly castigated for their posts.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased.
