Black Fox Bitter Game
- Mike Grimes (1st Jul 2004 - 14:16:49)

I know we are all waiting with baited breath for the first response to Alex's wonderfully topical Mozilla post but I wondered if we could indulge in a variation of the above whilst we are waiting.

The rules are simple, each player names a beer or brewery, past or present, and the first player to name "Black Fox Bitter" wins.

I'll go first : Youngs Waggledance

Got a bit of time on your hands, Mike?

Re: Black Fox Bitter Game

I thought I would start with the simple rules first so that players new to the game could catch on and maybe introduce the more complex ones later on. But maybe the simple rules are not simple enough!

Unless "A little time on your hands" is brewed by a brewer I have never heard of I judge that move to be the BFB game's equivalent to "get into jail free"

A tricky next move might have been "Double Chocolate" but a finesse could have been achieved with a "Badgers Tanglefoot" - too late now, the defence has been prepared.

Your turn.

This is the thanks you get for helping to make sure Mike can continue to shop for gardening books online without fear of having his bank details hijacked because of the shoddy software he uses to browse the interweb ;)

My turn - "Mozilla Firefox"

Fine victory Mark, but sometimes it is not the victory that counts ....

I haven't the faintest idea what you're all going on about...obviously though it's a BOYS THING so I'll keep out of it... a bit sexist of you Mike!

P.S. I thought MOZILLA was an Italian cheese!

Eneida

Eneida,

The game that you, and others, did not understand is based on the game "Mornington Crescent" which has been played regularly on the BBC Radio 4 show "I'm sorry I haven't a clue" for the last 32 years (Mondays 18:30-19:00, Rpt: Sun 12:00-12:30). It is regularly played by women so I am not sexist, however assuming that anything that you do not understand "is for boys" most certainly is.

Anyway, the pathos seemed to be lost on the people of Liphook so I think we'll end the thread.

Mike.

Sorry Mike, I've only got as far as Radio 2....but please don't sulk because nobody understood your game, you're obviously much too clever for the rest of Liphook!
