Orthodontics - Jo (14th May 2014 - 11:12:33) Please can you recommend a local orthodontist. One of my sons needs cosmetic orthodontic work, it won't be covered by the NHS. We have had a couple of quotes that vary by 1.000.

Re: Orthodontics - Debbie (14th May 2014 - 12:28:03) Hi Jo, My daughter went to Star orthodontics in Alton and I was really happy with them, we were lucky my daughter was covered on the NHS but I was given a tip by somebody that if you have to pay its worth visiting orthodontists in Guildford because there is a lot more competition which means they're a lot cheaper. Re: Orthodontics - Mary W (14th May 2014 - 12:57:55) I met someone who had some excellent cosmetic work done by a private dentist in Clanfield, if you search, it is only a small village, and the surgery is right in the centre next to a small grocery store.

Re: Orthodontics - Jay W (15th May 2014 - 20:20:54) My son has been lucky enough to have his orthodontic treatment on the NHS but we have been treated very well by West Street Orthodontic Practice in Farnham. I have no idea as to their private charges but we have rarely waited more than 5 minutes for our appointments, They fully explain everything and are always polite and helpful. I know this is as it should be, but we did not have a similar NHS experience in another practice. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Re: Orthodontics - Heather M (15th May 2014 - 21:37:39) Star Orthodontics- fantastic orthodontic treatment , same can't be said for the receptionist and appointment availability. Don't do appointments outside of school hours which is really handy when your child is in year 11 & taking GCSEs.

Re: Orthodontics - JG (16th May 2014 - 21:37:32) Bridget Green in Petersfield is fantastic. She treated my daughter in the early nighties so has been there sometime. I was amazed how she changed my daughters profile from having a protruding chin to bringing it back in line and also bring back her front teeth. Not an easy patient as she gags when having treatment but she found a way around this.( we had been to 2 others that weren't able to deal with her because of this problem.) Now 20 years later she looks stunning, it was a long job and expensive but I don't regret a penny. If I remember rightly she was trained in America. Thoroughly recommend.
