Bohunt Manor Summer Fete - Sarah (2nd May 2014 - 09:02:19) Please put Sunday 22nd June in your diary as Bohunt Manor is hosting a fantastic Liphook Summer Fete in the grounds on Portsmouth Road, Liphook. The Fete is kindly being supported by Lumi Technologies (previously known as IML), who are based at Bohunt Manor and all proceeds will go to the children's charity; Dreams Come True. It will take place from 11 am - 4pm and is free to enter and there is free parking too! The aim is to make it a great local event so we are looking for as much of the Liphook community to be involved as possible! It is looking to be a fantastic day with lots of entertainment including; Dog show and Dog Agility Bouncy Castle and Face Painting Games Competitions Dream Tea Tent Licensed Bar and BBQ and much much more still to be announced! Re: Bohunt Manor Summer Fete - Pete Eyre (2nd May 2014 - 15:29:13) We’ve had lots of requests from the local community to open up the Manor’s gardens and lakes for the public to enjoy from time to time. When Lady Holman (the Manor’s previous owner and resident) did this in the past it proved extremely popular with local residents so we are really pleased to be continuing this tradition whilst supporting Dreams Come True. Re: Bohunt Manor Summer Fete - SOS Bohunt Community Action Group (6th May 2014 - 11:37:45) Readers of this post might be interested in the photo of Lady Holman which appeared in the Petersfield Post on 8th April 1976. This article announces the opening of the Bohunt Manor Gardens to the General Public that year. The SOS Bohunt Community Action Group believe that this gesture from Lumi Technologies in support of Dreams Come True is a splendid contribution to the charity and Liphook residents as a whole.

Re: Bohunt Manor Summer Fete - Wendy Appleton (7th May 2014 - 09:34:35) Here at Bohunt Manor we are all very excited about the Summer Fete we are hosting on behalf of Dreams Come True - the last one we hosted on behalf of Rescue Remedies in 2011 was a huge success and raised lots of lovely money for the charity so I'm sure this one will be even bigger and better! As well as arranging and sponsoring the dog show, dog agility display and 'have-a-go' agility, Lumi are also going to be running the tombola and a few other things on the day. If any of you kind people out there would like to donate a tombola prize we would be really, really grateful! Prizes can be dropped off at Bohunt Manor during office hours or I can collect from the local area if it is difficult for you to get here. And then after all that exertion where better to go than the beer tent ;-)

Re: Bohunt Manor Summer Fete - Wendy Appleton (20th May 2014 - 09:50:07) I thought it was time to whet your appetite with some news about my part of the Bohunt Manor Summer Fete which is the dog show. The classes are going to be:- Best Veteran Dog (7yrs and over) Best Rescue Dog Most Handsome Dog Prettiest Bitch Dog with the Most Appealing Eyes Waggiest Tail Best 6 Legs - Dog & Owner Best Junior Handler (16yrs and under) Dog most like his/her Owner Scruffiest Dog Best Biscuit Catcher and the final class will be Best in Show! All the winners from the previous classes will automatically be entered into this and there will be two prizes, Best in Show and Dog the Judges would Most Like to Take Home. Hopefully it's going to be lots of fun! Entries are from 11am with the dog show starting at 1pm. I've also got very exciting news about one of the judges - I've just had confirmation that Lucy Watts will be judging on the day. Lucy and her dog Molly won the Friends for Life competition at Crufts in March, and as long as she is well we are totally thrilled that she will be with us for the day - I'm hoping she'll have Molly with her too! lucyalexandria.blogspot.co.uk I'm waiting for confirmation of the 2nd judge and I'll let you know as soon as I have it! Also during the day Touch and Go Agility, run by Sue Gosham, will be putting on a dog agility display and there will also be the chance to have a go with your own dog - great fun!! As yet there have been no discussions on whether we would hold another event or what form another event might take, we've just been focused on making this years event a success which we hope people agree it was. We had a great turn out and it was a thoroughly enjoyable day for everyone – we also combined the fete with giving local people the opportunity to walk around the grounds which we know is something people have been keen to have the opportunity to do.
