greengrocer
- sharon renshaw (1st May 2014 14:10:19)
Hello Liphook residents, my name is Sharon and I run Five Petals the florist shop opp. Liphook train station.
Not so long ago I started a thread about what would Liphook residents want to see in Liphook, the majority of people wanted a traditional greengrocer. So we have set one up in the florist shop and we will be selling fresh from Covent Garden fruit and vegetables.
I may not have everything you want to start with, but please pop in and tell us what you would like and we will try to source it.
From Tuesday 6th May we will have a good variety of fruit and veg.
Also if anyone knows where we can obtain locally sourced jams honey marmalades meringues olives etc. please pass on the shop number 01428727400 thank you and please visit

That is nice to hear. A butchers would be very welcoming as well.
Fed up with going to Petersfield or Haslemere for a decent joint for Sunday roast!!. Looks like I will be going to the Country Market for my meat when they open.

What a great idea. If you could get the attention of the many commuters via Liphook Rail Station opposite, I'm sure many would order/and want to nip in and grab a 'Box/bag of fresh Veg/fruit' to take home, ready made up, I think would go down well.
Are you allowed to put something outside to attract attention? a wheelbarrow advertising fresh veg that all the footfall and cars from the station can see?
Best of luck! I'll be calling in for sure!

Recently visited five petals and was very happy with my purchase of some strawberries which were nice, fresh and ripe with a good price! They are way better than your local supermarket fruits! I highly recommend visiting this new little shop if your passing by:)

Have just come back from visiting our new greengrocers shop. Quality vegetables and fruit - plus variety.
They will add to the range as custom increases. Let\'s support this initiative - a greengrocers is an asset in Liphook.

After reading such good responses on this website to Five Petals now selling fruit and veg I decided to give them a go instead of using Sainsburys as per the norm. Due to them being a small, one off (I guess) shop I was expecting to perhaps pay a little more but if the quality was as good as being reported then it would be worth it.
However what I wasn't expecting was for them to be closed on a Saturday afternoon, just after 2pm. As this I would assume is a prime time/day for shopping I was very disappointed in this and ended up back at Sainsburys!!
