Broxhead Common
- christi (2nd Feb 2009 - 18:50:28)

I know that Broxhead is slightly out of our area however, just a little warning for any of you dog walkers who may go there.
Last week my mum was walking her dogs through Broxhead (the path near pavillion) when she saw a man in a dark coloured tracksuit, he seemed to be acting oddly so she changed direction so to avoid him, the next time she did see him she saw more than she would like. He was standing with trousers round ankles playing with himself. Nice!!
Anyway this was reported to the police who are rushing to take a statement. (to date shes still waiting for them!)
As I said at the start just a word of caution for any of you who may walk there or know anyone that does. Take care and look out for a scruffy looking bloke around 5ft 6 who may not be suitably dressed!

Thanks for that warning!!

I walk my dog in many locations in the area, and that is one of them!!

Lets hope that with the chilly weather he keeps himself under wraps.

If he can do it there, he could pop up anywhere!!

Seriously, perhaps we should set up a common watch?

Hi Sue
You may be right, I do think that we need to warn each other about this sort of thing as the police aren't really interested!/ or too busy. (must cover all angles!)
When they were called the operator didn't have any idea where Broxhead was so it was very lucky it wasn't a really serious incident where by my mum had been ataacked in some way.
The Herald have been in contact though and there should be a piece on this in there this week.
