Having banked with Lloyds for over 40 years, mortgage, house insurance as well as regular accounting I did exactly this last May to Barclays in Petersfield. So, probably all banks have their faults - but at Barclays you will get the branch telephone number, and they have never failed to call me back. Lloyds for me were abysmal, reneging on agreed compensation, obstructive practices in business banking and rude both in the branch and on the phone. The straw that broke the camels back was when I was told - again at the local branch by the duty manager, she was ' Not interested in any problems to do with my business account - and that it can only be dealt with at their call centre' how admirably great customer service. A far cry from Barclays - who have been exemplary in everything. Go on .... be brave Mr Paddy's Daddy

Phone answered any time of day or night by an actual person, no pressing 1 for this or 2 for that, and have not had any problems at all. I favour service over an extra 0.1% interest and suggest you look elsewhere!

Re: Contact our local Lloyds Bank branch - joanna elliott (8th Apr 2014 - 17:22:25) I have always found the service and attention from the staff absolutely brilliant - always polite and courteous despite, at times, how they are treated by some very rude customers. At least Lloyds have stayed in Liphook to serve the local community......long may that last!
